BIOGRAPHY
An-My Lê is a visual artist who photographs engage the complex fictions that inform how warfare and other forms of conflict are justified, represented, and mythologized. A refugee from Vietnam and a resident of the United States since 1975, much of Lê’s work is inspired by her own experience of war and dislocation. She has received numerous awards including the Mac Arthur Foundation Fellowship, the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award and the Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship, among others. Lê is currently the Charles Franklin Kellogg and Grace E. Ramsey Kellogg Professor in the Arts at Bard College, New York.

Lê will give a public lecture on April 15 in Cruess Hall, Room 1002 at 5:30 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m.
